Whatever Happened to the Church of Satan?

     There are many reasons why the Church of Satan failed. This is all in my opinion of course. But it is fairly obvious and many share this opinion.

    1. The internet. The internet made it possible to communicate with other like minded people all over the world. No need to pay for membership fees to some ' church ' or organization in order to connect with others.

    2. Lack of involvement of the internet. The current C of S does not have much of an online presence. After LaVey died the C of S spent years Jocking for positions and restructuring its administrative roles. They failed to corner the market for Satanism online. Which they probably coulda ( back in the late 90's/ Early 2000's ) if they tried.They dropped the ball,and they know it. Which is why Gilmore has this attitude that if you are not part of the C of S then you are not a real Satanist. Even on youtube. The C of S on youtube is a joke. Peter Gilmore's channel is practically ignored. There is no reason that I should have 10x more subscribers than Gilmore and the C of S. Check it out.

     This is an epic fail on the C of S and Gilmore's part.Again the C of S shoulda dominated all corners on the internet , all popular media outlets ( youtube,facebook,ect) but they did not bother.

    3. Peter Gilmore. Gilmore lacks the charisma and leadership traits that LaVey had.Gilmore has done little publicly to promote the C of S after 15 years. The C of S has grown stagnant. Gilmore seems to be content with merely collecting the 200 dollar membership fee which he doubled from 100 dollars when he took over as High Priest. These are the main reasons in my opinion. I am sure there are plenty more.
